About Yourself:
I am a Grocery store assitant manager at a local supermarket. I have been married for seven years and have no children. My wife and I love animals and do little gardening on the side. I have a few other hobbies that would be considered nerdy, but enjoy all them. I started about a year and half ago. when my wife wanted goldfish. my first tank was a five and half gallon tank. over time I got larger and larger tanks. Now I have 2working the 55gal and 30gal and 10gal hospital tank and in reserve that 5 1/2 gallon lol. The 30 gallon tank is tropical. I want to get more serious but my bank roll is small, but in time I will buy what I need and it gives me time to decide the theme.
Fish Kept:
I have moved all different types of gold fish to a smaller 30 gallon tank. Now I have two adult oscars into my 55 gallon tank. A bit of improvement, and better for the much larger oscars. and I have a medium sized plecostomus.
Corals/Plants:
I use artificial plants goldfish seem to eat or up root real plants. I use natural color gravel brown, black and tan stones. and have among gravel different sized riverstones. I also have a 14" castle that has natural colors so it do not steal attention from fish or rest of tank decorations. but my favorite decorations are my four pieces of fossils. I have five pieces but not use one. The fossils are carbonifeous tree roots. The fossils are from the Paleozoic Era 543-248 million years ago. the pieces of from 6"- 10" long. My wife found them in our backyard. I clean them and soaked them in water for weeks. To be sure they would hurt my fishs.
update removed caslte and add the pot bought for Wal-mart
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
the best advice I could give is read all you can about your fish and deseases. And don't try to go out and buy everything for your tank in one shot. Get the equipment you need to start and later by the things you really want !
Description:
55 gallon two adult oscars and plecostomus. by chance I bought a 30 gallon tank with two adult oscars. so I decide to switch tanks. after a day of hard work this is what I ended up with. I like the remodel the 55 gallon is better of the oscars. In the near future I will add the jack dempseys. Still using my fossils but removed castle and add the strawberry pot.

About Yourself:
Ever since i was very little i always loved looking at fishtanks i was always drawn to them, then when i was seven a friend of the famley gave us a 5 gal tank with a lone old angelfish, he died shortly after and my mom brought home a new fish, it was a jackdampsey no biger then 6 cm. we named her jacko, we didnt know how big she would get so she very soon outgrew the 5 gal tank so my dad built a 30 gal. for her she lived in that tank with us happily gobbleing up flys and worms and fishfood for 10 years at a length or approx. 8 in. she is what got my hooked on fish, i then had to get my own fish and thats when i got turbo, hes my 4 yr old ranchu goldfish i got him at wamart and he was labeld as a lions head, i was still at my parents at the time i got him and since then ive moved 6 times and he has came with me everwheres i go, hes the most cute lil fish ive ever seen and hes so chubby hes about 3-4 in. now, i moved turbo and a lone pleco into the house a ear ago and since then we have got so many new fish, i now have my boyfriend into the whole fish thing, so we adpted our two oscars and bought a new tank becase he loves african cichlids and the large vase we have has a betta in it he was one of the first fish we got together, since then the tanks keep getting bigger and we get more fish its a really fun thing to do as a couple watching them and feeding them and getting new aquarium gear, but yeah i will post a bunch of pics up on here of all my fishies.
Fish Kept:
I have 2 oscars one whos almost 2 and is 11 in., and one whos probubly 1 1/2 old and 6 in.

Corals/Plants:
i have not attempted plants yet but n the next month or so will be starting a freshwater planted tank.
