Description: 106 US Gal / 400 Liters. Juwel brand glass tank with internal filter removed. 2 x Juwel light ballasts with 36 watt bulbs, one on 12 hours, the other on 11 hours per day (set to simulate damn and dusk). 1200 LPH / 317 GPH canister filter cleaned every six weeks. 300 watt Hydor in-line heater. Cleaned every 2-3 weeks. Plants fertilized with Flourish, Flourish Excel, and Pro-Aqua plant bags...No CO2. Changing the plant layout all the time. Some driftwood, some tuffa rock. Nearly constant 7.2 pH. Running 1 year Sept. '07.
Advice: Don't buy cheap equipment...buy the right stuff the first time!
Fish Kept: 18 Cardinal Tetra. 10 Otocinclus (Dwarf Suckermouth Catfish). 8 Zebra Danios. 6 Angelfish. 5 Clown Loaches. 4 Siamese Algae Eaters. 3 Sterbas' Cory Cats. 1 Bristlenose Catfish. 1 Moonlight Gourami. 1 Lace Gourami.
Corals/Plants: (Subject to change quite often). Vallis Torta. Crypt Beckettii. Crypt Beckettii (Petchii). Crypt Pontederiifolia. Anubias Nana. Red Ludwigia. Aponogeten Ulvaceous.

About Yourself: Nail Tech student. Sometimes I love my tank, sometimes I don't!! Trying to overcome black algae. Still too nervous about adding CO2, even though I have a Carbo Plus Unit and pH monitor! Would love to set up a 50 gal. malawi tank.
