Description: 260 Watts of Coralife Compact Fluorescent 2 X 50/50 Actinic & 10,000ºKelvin lamps and 2 X 50/50 6,700ºKelvin & Colormax lamps. 10Hr's photo period, dawn / dusk simulation with L.E.D. moon lights. Compressed CO2 system with Red Sea 500 Reactor: 3 Bubbles/sec, solenoid controlled. Filters: Marineland Magnum 350 filter with Bio-wheels & Hagen 204 Fluval canister filter filled with lava rock biological media. 9W UV sterilizer system, ON 24Hr's period! In line filter heater, water Temperature 24ºC. PH 6.5, GH & KH is set to simulate the Amazon waters; micro nutrients, phosphate, iron, excel, and vitamins. Good water current and chemistry to control algae. Only minor algae for fish. ¼ water changes every two weeks.
Advice: Read lots of aquarium books, try different formulas. Patience!
Fish Kept: I started 10 years ago with the hobby, Goldfish, Mollies, African Cichlids, Marine fish & moved to plants.
Corals/Plants: All kinds of plants!
