Description: 55 tall acrylic tank, red fluorite substrate, Penguin Biowheel 350 filter, spiderwood. Tank has been up and running for about 9 months. No CO2, just plants and fish, plus Excel and API Leaf Zone for nutrition. Lighting is a Fluval Plant 3.0 and I swear by it. It's the second one I've had, and it grows plants very well.
Advice: Read everything you can get your hands on and ask questions of experienced fish keepers. Keep lots of plants to eat up fish waste...it helps keep algae growth down.
Fish Kept: Siamese Algae Eater, dwarf neon rainbow, lace zebra angel, emerald eye rasbora
Corals/Plants: Several different anubias, African fern, dwarf Sagittarius, water lily and lotus, several kinds of cryptocoryne, Java fern "wendolov", Cryptocoryne Balansae, Amazon sword.
Tank Size: 55 gallons
About Yourself: I've been keeping fish on and off for over 55 years. My first tank was a slate bottom, stainless steel frame 10 gallon for my 10th birthday. I was hooked!
