Description: 60 gallon reef tank that I am turning into a seahorse/pipefish refuge. I have a top fathom skimmer, 20 gal. sump, Prime 1/4hp chiller, JBJ power compacts, abundant flow RO/DI, all powered by Rio powerheads. I started with 3 pieces of live rock and a 2nd hand tank. I'm always adding and upgrading.
Advice: Never assume that there is only one way to keep your tank. I have taken bits and pieces from everyone along with my own experience and have been very successful. The internet is a great tool for this hobby.
Fish Kept: 4 chromis, *pipefish on order* *mandarin dragonetteson order* 1 yellow sand sifting cucumber, 1 queen conch, a bunch of blue leg hermits, scarlet hermits, and snails, 2 Sally Lightfoot crabs, 2 small abalone, many starfish,
Corals/Plants: Torch coral, Fox/Elegance coral, a few candy corals, pink carnation, 5 green mushrooms, 3 orange mushrooms, a bunch of orange/green, green/green, orange/brown, & green/brown zoanthids, star polyps (Briareium), Glove polyps, Red Flower Pot (goniopora), frag of Favites brain coral, 2 tridacna crocea clams, Chaeto & Caulerpa
Tank Size: 60 gallons
About Yourself: I have been running fish only tanks for over 10 years and about 2 years ago I starting learning to keep corals. It has been a learning experience and I love every minute of it.
