Description: I've been trying to emulate the lagoonal-fringing reef with sponges, LPS, gorgonians, macroalgae, seagrass, and mixed oolite and crushed coral substrate.
Advice: Know your chemistry. If you can't explain carbonate alkalinity dynamics to a middle school student, don't bother attempting to manage a reef tank. You NEED to have a general understanding of biogeochemistry. Stop bothering your LFS with questions you should already know the answer to.
