COMMENTS

Is the bottom cleaned? 25% planted bottom? Canister for a 10 g? Prioritizing plants? Your swim space might be 5-6 gallons only, half. A 10 gallons should only have 1 or 2 plants, 1 in middle. The rest is for schooling, not hiding. I don't agree. An HOB can do that, less internal components. The 10 is way too small for that. No professional aquarium, that I have seen, at places, like Austin, Dallas & Houston use, that many plants. Only a few. Their small tanks only have 1 plant. A canister filter is over kill. I have seen pro aquariums & even planted, I can't give it a high score. All you are supposed to do is change water, in a 10g. I'm talking professional ran aquariums, not DIY. 2, too much maintenance & equipment. 1 for keeping fish & clean and 1 more for having equipment & decorations. Less than professional average. You need access to the bottom because tides bring in water & that clears & moves out bottom debris; thus, need for water changes, which includes vacuuming. fish avatar
