29 gallons planted tank (mostly live plants and fish) - Tank up 3 years since November 2012. 10 Cardinals & 7 Ember Tetras are original residents. 5 Angels new & will be transferred to new larger tank being setup. Goldring Danios introduced Dec 14 and Celestial Pearl Danios introduced Jan 2015. Plants are all from original setup, except some of the Crypto Parva. Anubias all propagated from 2 original plants. I harvest and supply all my friends with Anubias and Jungle Vals quite frequently and have harvested 4 plants from the one echinodorus.

More Info

State: Florida
Country: United States
Description: TANK---30W x 18H x 12D (Standard 29G); LIGHTING---BuildMyLED 6300K; FILTER---API Filter XP L (Rated 350 GPH, Note: Current maintained low to meet requirements of fish with valve added to tubing; large volume for filtration provides for great biological, mechanical and chemical filtration and greatly reduces maintenance of filter); CO2---LO-TECH Fermentation Canister; SUBSTRATE---Eco-Complete
Advice: Plenty of Filtration and Plants will reduce maintenance, may delay water changes as well, but always watch for nitrate build up and make required water changes. With my planted tank I can go as long as 6 months or more without nitrate build-up. More Plants, Less Fish is the best formula. Spend the money for proper filtration. Always top off tank for evaporation with distilled water, otherwise your water becomes heavier and heavier.
Fish Kept: 10 Cardinal Tetras, 5 Silver Zebra Angels, 4 Celestial Pearl Danios, 1 Albino Neon Tetra, 7 Ember Tetras, 5 Goldring Danios
Corals/Plants: Echinodorus "Red Flame" Variety, Anubias (Several Varieties), Jungle Vals, Crypt Parva
Tank Size: 29 gallons
