About Yourself: Was into tropical fish when i was a young boy, and now my son got me back into the hobby, its expensive but so worth it in the end.
Fish Kept: Hemichromis guttatus,Metriaclima estherae, Sciaenochromis fryeri, common pleco.
Corals/Plants: Aponogeton, Dwarf lily, Hair grass,sword.
Tank Size: 55 gallons
Advice: Buy your tank and cycle it, BEFORE you buy fish. Be prepared because properly owning a fish tank is like having a part-time job, between water changes, checking the parameters, etc. If you dont have the time for it, dont do it.

About Yourself: very new to this i got my first aquarium in jan 09 i feed my fish a variety of cichlid pellets, flake food, betta color enhancing pellets(that is their favorite), and live guppies that i breed in a smaller tank.
Fish Kept: 2 plecos, 2 pistus catfish, 4 pairs of assorted african cichlids, and one trio of africans.

About Yourself: We have 3 tanks and can't wait until we have enough room for another one!
Fish Kept: 55 GAL:1 Blackbelt cichlid, 1 Johanni cichlid, 1 venustus, 2 Acei, 2 frontosas, 2 obliquidens (breeding pair), 3 electric yellows(breeding pair + 1 male), and 2 fish i'm not sure of. 30 GAL: 2 green spotted puffers, 1 african leaf fish, and 1 tire track eel. 40 GAL: lots of our cichlid's babies...our cichlids in the 55 gal breed a lot
Corals/Plants: All fake plants(cichlids eat the real ones and sometimes pull up the fake ones too), seashells, wood, and a variety of rocks. The bottom of the tank is covered with brown gravel
Tank Size: 30 gallons
Advice: Buy fish you really love; they make the tank. Also, a good light is crucial if you want your fish to look their prettiest.
