About Yourself:
Inherited a 55 gallon from my deceased boss. I hated fish tanks until then. 5 tanks later and now I can't get off the internet trying to learn. Addictive little boogers.

It's such a fine line between clever and stupid.
About Yourself:
Got into the hobby when my roomate in college got a tank. Been a while but I recently got back into it a few months ago and so far so good. Nothing better than getting home from work, lighting up and zoning out in front of the tank. Much better than TV if you ask me.
Fish Kept:
Mix of aggressive species, believe it or not it works out well if you provide a good balance of caves, crevices, territories, and open water. One of each – Labidochromis Caeruleus; Pseudotropheus Lombardoi; Botia Helodes; Synodontis Ocellifer; Ctenopoma Acutirostre; Leporinus Fasciatus; Epalzeorhynchos Frenatus; Anostomus Anostomus; Gyrinocheilus Aymonieri; Procambarus Alleni; Macrobrachium Amazonicum; and 5 Pomacea Bridgesii
Corals/Plants:
All fake plants, sometimes I'll throw in some live plants as a supplemental food source.
Tank Size:
60 gallons
Advice:
Never hurry any process or you're going to find yourself in a lot of trouble very quickly. Take as long to cycle as you can, and find out everything possible about the fish you want before you buy them to ensure compatibility. Don't skip water changes (even if the water looks clean) and test water quality often. Also make the effort to get a quarantine tank, you'll be amazed at how helpful it will be.
Description:
My aggressive buggers tank. Got 2 Mbuna Cichlids, Synodontis Catfish, Tiger Botia Loach, Banded Leporinus, Rainbow Shark, Spotted Climbing Perch, Striped Headstander, Chinese Algae Eater, Blue Crayfish, Amazon River Prawn, and 5 Mystery Snails in there. Sorry about the quality, took the pic. with my phone's camera.

Give Love to Get some
About Yourself:
Well, I got into this hobby thru my father approx 20 years back. He had a 6x1.5x1.5 feet tank in which he used to have an assortment of fishes. Over the years I have been inclined to move over to Cichlids and Arowana. Amongst Cichlids Oscar are very popular aquarium fish. These intelligent Cichlids are preferred by many aquarists because of their great individuality and character.
Fish Kept:
Oscars and Arowana
Corals/Plants:
None..... Only Stones and Gravel for the Oscar Tank and Silk Plants / Drift Wood / Gravel for the Arowana Tank
Tank Size:
260 gallons
Advice:
Keep as close to nature as possible

About Yourself:
Had fish years ago as a kid, now an adult I can better justify the expence. In six months I've gone from 1 5gal tank to this including three breeding tanks. O' what a twisted web we weave.......
Fish Kept:
‘Red Empress’ Protomelas taeniolatus
‘Pearl of Likoma’ Melanochromis joanjohnsonae
‘Blue Acara’ Aequidens pulcher (I know they have to go. But I started with these guys and well ...... )
‘Electric Yellow’ Labidochromis caeruleus
‘Common Bristlenose’ Ancistrus sp
‘Leopard Pleco’ Glyptoperichthys gibbiceps
Pseudotropheus Saulosi
Corals/Plants:
anubias alferi
anubias sp.
plus the large etch ... (this is going too).
Tank Size:
160 gallons
Advice:
Don't rush to add fish to your tank, make sure it is cycled properly. Buy as much filtration as you can afford. Buy only fish that a compatable with your tank and it's set up. Also only buy good, clean, colorful stock. A little bit of extra money here saves much disapointment later.
Description:
My 6ft Malawi tank. A mix of mbuna and peacefull haps. Plus a couple of plants for color.

About Yourself:
Work in IT. Kept fish tanks for about 15 years. Also have a marine tank. I hope to set up a ciclid tank in the near future.
Fish Kept:
Cumminuty fish. Tetras, Harlequins, Tigerbarb, Hoplo Cat. Only recently set the tank up so I hope to add more soon.
Corals/Plants:
All Plastic. I'm getting a bit lazy these days.
Tank Size:
40 gallons
Advice:
Keep your fridge stocked with beer, chocolate and cake. OK, so it's got nothing to do with fish, but its still good advice!!! You need to have something to do while your watching the tank!!!
